High Dollar Diaper Coupons
We are *so close* to finally being out of the diaper phase!! I love being a mom, I really do. But I would gladly hire out the potty training part of this whole parenting thing.

We have all kinds of fun things planned for this summer, but my summer objective is to finally, after 12 years of almost constant diapers, be D.O.N.E.

And did anyone else forget how to do the whole potty training thing after each kid? I’ve potty trained three kids so far and I still feel like I have no idea how to do this. I honestly don’t remember what I did with my others. Did they potty train themselves? I think I had a big part in it – I just don’t remember what it was. Please tell me this is a normal mom thing? ;)

Since I’m in the potty training trenches this summer, I was excited to see some high-value coupons from Kimberly Clark Pick Up The Values that will help!

It’s completely free to sign up for Pick Up The Values and you can print the coupons directly from your computer. It just takes a minute to fill out the form so that you can get to the coupons.

They have several coupons available right now, but if you share the coupons then you’ll get even higher value coupons!!

Ragú Easy Recipes + Enter To Win A Trip To Italy!! #NewTraDish

I’m thrilled to be partnering with Ragú as a compensated brand representative to share this post with you guys.

Have you ever seen the movie Fiddler On The Roof?

It’s one of the ones that’s in my list of my top ten favorite movies of all time.

In one of the scenes in the movie the husband and the wife are arguing and things in the house are going crazy… but then the Sabbath dinner begins (for those who haven’t seen the movie, it’s about a Jewish family living in Russia in 1905).

The candles are lit, everyone sits down, prayers are said (sung), and dinner is shared all together.

During the Sabbath dinner scene while the prayers are being sung, you get a sequence of images of different families all over the town who are doing exactly the same thing at the same time.

Everyone all over the city has dropped everything that they were doing to sit down, thank God, and enjoy a meal together.

Every time I watch Fiddler On The Roof I think about that scene for days afterwards and how important it is to set aside time to sit and eat together as a family regularly, even if it’s not every night.

Things can get a little crazy from time to time with a family of 6 (okay, things are pretty much crazy ALL of the time!)

We are either getting school done, cleaning, going to sports activities, walking our new puppy (my goodness big dogs need to be walked A LOT!), or meeting with friends.

With the craziness of life, there aren’t a lot of opportunities to all sit down together as a family and talk.

Our desire is for mealtime, and especially dinner, to be more than just food. We want it to be a time to unwind from the day and talk about life, questions, fun things that we did that day, what we learned… as much as we can fit into that 30 minute to 1 hour window.

One of the biggest hurdles in having a family meal time is the time that it takes to prepare everything. Ragú is sharing ways to keep family mealtimes a priority with easy-to-create meals.

One of my favorite go-to easy meals is to put a large spaghetti squash in the oven to cook, saute some onions with ground beef, add in a jar of Organic Ragú Sauce and serve over the cooked spaghetti squash! It’s super easy and the whole family loves it.

Ragú actually has an entire section on their Facebook page devoted to easy recipes to make menu planning simple.

In addition to lots of great recipe ideas on their Facebook page, there’s also an opportunity to win a trip to Italy for a family of four!! Just click here to enter to win (super easy entry!) How fun would that be?!

A little more about our sponsor:

Unclaimed Baggage Center
Have you ever been to the unclaimed baggage center in Alabama? It’s where the luggage from the airlines goes if no one claims it (they make every attempt possible to get the luggage to its rightful owner before it ends up at the center).

Tiffany from Stuff Parents Need shared her experience about the Alabama Unclaimed Baggage Center and I thought y’all might enjoy reading about it!

Have you ever been to the unclaimed baggage center? What did you think? Is it worth making a trip if you live reasonably close?

Teach Them Diligently Homeschool Conventions 2014

I’m so excited to be speaking at the Teach Them Diligently homeschool convention in Dallas this summer!  Teach Them Diligently is a homeschool convention for Christian families that began in 2012 and has grown significantly over the past couple of years.

If you’re currently a homeschooler, or if homeschooling is something that you are considering, then I would absolutely love to be able to meet you during the convention.  (If you’re not a homeschooler and you’re still reading through this post then I’d love to meet you at one of my couponing classes this year!)  :)

Homeschooling can be a tough journey at times, and a place to go to refuel and be refreshed is so incredibly needed.

In addition to being refreshing for the parents, I also love that they have a program specifically for the kids.  Kids ages 4-12 can join the kids’ programs where they will learn about topics from robotics to crafts to film-making to apologetics!  The teens have their own program just for them as well.

The conventions are for two and a half days and the price is a STEAL.  The regular registration is just $55 per family for the entire convention, and they have given Surviving The Stores readers an extra coupon code for an additional $8 off making it just $47!

The child care part is optional, but if you want your kids to be a part of the children’s program then it’s just $35 per kid for all 2 1/2 days!  I don’t know of anywhere else that offers high-quality classes for children for a price like that.  The teen program is even less at $10 per teen for all 2 1/2 days.

To get more information on the conference and to register, just head over to the Teach Them Diligently website and during checkout enter the promo code “SURVIVE8OFF” to get the extra $8 discount.

This extra coupon code is only valid through Thursday January 9th and is valid for all of the Teach Them Diligently Convention dates for 2014.
