Buffalo Wing Sauce

- 2 C dry cayenne peppers
- ½ C water
- ⅓ C chopped onion
- 1 clove chopped garlic
- ⅓ C chopped tomato
- 1 C white vinegar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 bottle hot sauce
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 tsp honey
- ¼ C ketchup
- Roast peppers in a pan on medium high heat, stirring frequently
- Add water until peppers are covered, bring to boil for 10 minutes
- Drain peppers and place in blender
- Add ½ C water, ½ C vinegar and salt
- Blend on high speed
- Melt butter over medium heat
- Add onion, garlic, tomato and hot sauce
- Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Add mixture to peppers in blender and blend on high for approximately 2 minutes
- Add lemon juice, honey and ketchup to blender and blend just enough to combine evenly
- Pour mixture back into pan and simmer for 20 minutes
