It’s watermelon season!!!
You know, I go back and forth on whether or not I’m a fan of summer. I’m NOT a fan of the triple-digit Texas heat (although compared to last year this summer has been wonderful), but I do really love swimming, the beach, grilling, and WATERMELONS!!
So when Good Cook asked me if I’d like to take a look at their new Watermelon Knife I said “OF COURSE!” I had seen them at my local Walmart next to the watermelons and thought that it was a neat concept and I was super thrilled to get one to try out.
The knife easily slices right through the WHOLE watermelon and makes what was once a fairly dangerous sawing job a piece of cake.
And I haven’t tried it on other things yet, but I’m thinking it will very likely cut through Butternut Squash and Acorn Squash easily in the fall! And I’ve heard (but haven’t tested it out yet) that it works great for slicing homemade bread as well.
