There is a great illustration this week at Walgreens for how to roll Register Rewards. Since the St. Ives Body Wash is a money-maker, you can “roll” it back and forth with the Carmex (monthly deal) and get a lot for super cheap! Here’s what it would look like:
Transaction #1:
Buy St. Ives Body Wash – $2.99
Use $1.50 coupon
Pay $1.49 out of pocket
Get back $3 in Register Rewards
Transaction #2:
Buy Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm – $2.99
Buy the absolute cheapest item you can find (I’ve found some great clearance items on the school supply aisle)
Use $3 Register Reward from Transaction #1
Pay the cost of the filler item
Get back $2 in Register Rewards
Transaction #3:
Buy St. Ives Body Wash – $2.99
Use $1.50/1 coupon
Buy a “filler” item that costs at least 51¢
Use the $2 RR from Transaction #2
Pay $0 out of pocket (if you found a filler item exactly 51¢)
Get back $3 in Register Rewards
Then you could do transaction #2 again, then #3, then #2, etc…

I went to Walgreens today and I bought the carmax, but i didn't get $2 in rr. Where did you see this deal? I live in the DFW area and I didn't see it in this weeks ad.

went to Walgreens in Mesquite today and the $2 RR is not printing for the carmax. HOWEVER, as I was leaving the store very disappointed that I was not going to be able to roll over the St. Ives and Carmax over and over (have about 20 of the St. Ives from my favorite dumpster =)) , I came across an even better deal! The same 3-in-1 Purex that is on sale at CVS is also $6.99 with a $2 RR at Walgreens. With the $2 off coupon in Sunday's paper that makes it $4.99 OOP, and then $1.99 if you use the $3 RR from the St. Ive's. YEAH!!! I am going to buy more papers at WalMart today….checked my dumpster yesterday and there was nothing! God Bless ya girl, Rachel in Garland
