There has been an update to the Target Coupon Policy and there are a few changes that you will definitely want to be aware of if you are a frequent Target shopper! Here are the biggest changes that I see:
- Limit of 4 identical coupons per household, per day (unless otherwise noted on coupon).
- Returns of items purchased using Manufacturer Coupons may receive coupon value returned in the form of a Target GiftCard.
These may not be new changes, but they are frequently asked about:
- Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.
- We do not accept internet coupons for free items with no purchase requirements.
- BOGO coupons cannot be combined (i.e. you cannot use two BOGO coupons on two items and get both for free). Unless stated otherwise on the coupon, the use of one Buy One Get One Free coupon requires that two of the valid items are presented at checkout of which one item will be charged to the guest and the 2nd item will be discounted by its full retail price.
- A second cents-off coupon of the same type cannot be redeemed towards the purchase price of the first item.
•If a Target BOGO coupon is used, one additional manufacturer coupon may be used on the first item.
•If a Manufacturer BOGO coupon is used, one additional Target coupon may be used on the first item.
Make sure you replace the Target Coupon Policy in your binder with the updated one in case you need it while you are shopping!

hm, too bad. but, no free items with internet coupon without purchase? I’m confused about that one. wasn’t aware of it. am I misunderstanding the lingo? I’ve gotten free items from Target before. ie- $1.99 floss, with a $2 coupon = free floss. Is this not allowed??
I recently moved from Florida to Washington state. In Florida, I was able to price match a competitor’s ad, and use both a manufacturers coupon and a Target coupon on the item. I am now being told if I am using a Target coupon, I can not use that on a competitor’s price match. Is this something new, something my store in Florida allowed but is enforced elsewhere, or something this Washington store is implementing that is not corporate policy?
just visiting this site and read the new coupon policy…I shop at Bilo most of the time and if you have one near you and a target near you they will accept Target q’s as long as there is a target near the bilo. I’ve gotten some awesome deals because of this…Bilo is worth checking into b/c 1) they double up to 60 cents. 2) they accept most stores in the area as competitors. Even stores like Wall greens, CVS, Rite aide, Dollar General Family Dollar etc…there are too many stores to mention. 3) you can stack q’s. Using a store and Mgr coupon. 4) you can use up to 10 like q’s in one transaction. I would suggest looking in to it. You can save a bundle if you play your cards right… Also would like to mention the fuel perks…you only have to spend 50$ to save .05 cents per gallion up to 20 gal. This quickly adds up because they count the total before any discounts or q’s. Huge savings. I know right now I can save .70 per gal. Who wouldn’t want to do this?

I can’t believe that Target changed the coupon policy. Walmart has NO LIMIT of how many coupons you can use on the same item per day. Why isn’t Target like this???I believe that it isn’t the CONSUMERS fault, it’s the MFR’s fault on those coupons. The only thing I want is for people to have a little respect and not clear the shelves COMPLETELY. Have some consideration and leave a few for other people, then come back another day to get more. Any suggestions???
