I have had a ton of questions about when the January Target Toy Clearance will be starting this month. For those of you who haven’t participated in the Target Toy Clearance before, they usually have a great  toy clearance sale twice each year… once in January and once in July.

They used to mark down their toys 75%, but last year they started going up to 70% off at most stores. But the difference is small enough to where you can still find lots awesome deals on toys!

The Target toy clearance is where I get the majority of the Christmas presents for the kids (and I usually take advantage of the one in July instead of the one in January so that I don’t have to hold them all year!)

These are also GREAT stock-up prices for birthday presents and shower gifts!

I’ve heard a few rumors that even though the 70% off signs aren’t out yet, that a lot of the items marked 30% and 50% off are actually ringing up at 70% off!

Last July the major 75% off clearance started on Thursday July 28th (it slowly went from 30% off to 50% off throughout July) and while sadly Target doesn’t let us know when their clearance sales are going to begin, I would guess that they would start the 70% off clearance this year on Thursday July 26th, 2012.

Keep in mind that that is my best GUESS and there are no guarantees that it will start on that day. I would HIGHLY recommend following the Surviving The Stores Facebook page and watching it closely over the next month. We have lots of awesome readers who let us know when they see the clearance at their stores!
