Super Savings Saturday – 79% Savings!

Friday

I made a trip to the nearest Super Target yesterday and decided to also make a quick stop at Walgreens to see if they had gotten in any more Sambucol. I was very excited to see a whole shelf full of the Sambucol! I only had 5 coupons, so I could only get $10 worth of extra free stuff (the Sambucol was a $2 money-maker for each one bought). I decided to go ahead and get a few more Garnier items and to get an Axe product since it is one of the Easy Saver Rebate items for this month.

At Target I got ELEVEN packages of the Sutton and Dodge beef. Apparently they restock every night because my friend Stephanie went the next morning (she had an awesome trip too!) and found several more packages of beef in the $2-$3 price range.

In my trip to Walgreens and Target I got $214.36 worth of stuff, and only paid $45.76! That’s a savings of 79%! AND, I will be getting back $6.59 on my Walgreens gift card for the Axe product.

I was disappointed that the Broccoli and Cauliflower were $1.50 each at my Target instead of the reported 99¢. And the goldfish were $1.77 instead of $1. We were completely out of cheese, so at $1.25 each we stocked up!

The Archer Farms Blueberry Granola cereal is normally $4.99, was on sale for $3.99 and I had the $1/1 Archer Farms Cereal Target printable coupon to make it $2.99. Not what I would normally pay for cereal but my husband LOVES granola cereal and $2.99 is a pretty good price for that much granola (it’s a larger box than most). And the Archer Farms Blueberry Granola is some of the best I’ve ever tasted!!!

How did you do this week?

That's awesome! Do you do Aldi? I got fresh broccoli there for 59 cents/package last week. Don't know how long it's going on--I just stumbled onto it.

That is awesome! I so wish I had a target nearby!

Awesome job!! Keep up the good work!

Drop by my blog http://thefrugalkennedys.blogspot.comI detailed most of my "Frugal Friday" there.

I went to walgreens and got $80 worth of stuff for $7 OOP and I will get back $15 in rebates and the manager issued me a gift card for $10 because one of the employees stole $8 worth of coupons from me. Walgreens tends to be on the coupon hater side of things but the manager was very nice and very understanding. Not the norm I know.
