I tried VIA today. For instant coffee it was pretty good, but it still had that slightly metallic taste that made it easy to spot, despite the fact that it was so hot it covered most of the flavor.

Could Starbucks do any more to make sure we all know they are no longer a serious coffee house? The way they have traded away the authenticity that made them a success in the first place is astonishing.

Great coffee comes from a filter or an espresso machine - not a packet or a slurpy - accept no fakes or substitutes.

I took the VIA taste test. Quite good for an instant coffee and I am certain there will be a good market for it. But my heart was captured long ago by the floral, lemony bold taste of a well brewed cup of Starbucks Ethiopia Sidamo! Is there anything that quite compares? I don't think so!

Ron D

http://www.start-a-business-faq.com

2 of my local Fort Worth locations are passing out sample packs of the Via. I don't know if it's only in the drive-thru or inside as well.
