Sometimes you don’t know until the week starts to pass which items will be money-makers at Walgreens. It turns out that there are LOTS this week (again!) I going to have fun rolling Register Rewards this afternoon!
Dove and Degree Travel Size Deodorant – 99¢ each (buy 6 and earn $6 Register Rewards)
Use $1.50/2 Dove coupons from the 3/15 RP
&/or Use 75¢/1 Degree coupons from the 3/1 RP
Pay $1.44 out of pocket (or with RRs)
Get back $6.00 in Register Rewards wyb 6 items!
$4.56 Money-maker after coupons and RRs!!
Vaseline Lotion – $2.69 each (buy 6)
Use SIX $1.50/1 coupon from the 4/5 RP (some areas did not get this coupon)
$7.14 out of pocket
Get a $6 RR back
$1.14 for all six
(Remember, you can mix and match the Vaseline, Dove deodorant, and Degree deodorant if you want to — just make sure you buy 6 products total for the $6 RRs)
Axe Products – some on clearance as low as $1.39 each (buy 2 and earn $3 Register Rewards)
Pay $2.78 out of pocket
Get back $3.00 in Register Rewards
22¢ Money-maker after RRs!

Phantom Gillette Fusion Power Razor – $3.19 on clearance at some stores
Use $2/1 coupon from the 4/5 P&G
AND Use $2/1 Walgreens Easy Saver coupon (page 10)
(MAKE SURE they scan the manufacturer coupon first to get the overage)
81¢ Money-maker!

Lots of Easter Candy – 50% off
Buy 4 bags and submit for the $5.00 Rebate #25
FREE after rebate
REMEMBER, you have to have other items to cover your overage because Walgreens will not actually pay you back. When I say that an item is a “money-maker” that means that you will get to use that money towards another product in your transaction (I typically use this overage to get toilet paper and paper towels when they aren’t on sale anywhere else.)
(Thanks, Common Sense with Money and Money Saving Mom!)

This is a beginner’s question, I know you can’t use your RRs on the same item and get more, but if I were to get the Max toothbrush shown on the back of the flier, use the RRs for something else, then buy another Max toothbrush, would I get RRs on the second toothbrush? Thanks for the great list, and for your help! Amanda

I have one more question. I wanted to set up a paypal account…so should I chose personal or premier account type? Also after I set up the account when I purchase coupons from ebay do I have to pay any fees for using my credit card with paypal. Or is there any other way of paying through paypal on ebay?
Thanks

Is the Dove deal just for this week or the whole month?

Has anyone gotten the travel size deodorants to work yet? or does it only work with the sizes listed?

Amanda,
Question #1: Yes, you would get the RR for the second toothbrush too. For example, if you bought the toothbrush and used the 75¢/1 coupon, you would pay $2.75 and get back $3.50 in RR. Then you could buy the scunci 18 count and the chapstick naturals (one of the monthly deals) for $3.99, use the $3.50 in RR to pay, pay 49¢ out of pocket, and get back $4 in RR (two for chapstick, two for scunci). Then you could use that $4 you just received to buy a toothbrush (again at $2.75 with the coupon) and an item that’s around $1.25. Then you would get back the $3.50 in RR. And you could just keep doing the deal over and over and over.
Question #2: Just set up a personal account – it will be totally free. The fees are paid by the seller, not the buyer (as with credit card transactions at the store).
Hope that helps!

Anonymous #2:
The Unilever Deal (with the Dove and the Degree deodorants) is only good this week.
Anonymous #3:
I just did the deal with the trial size Degree deodorant today (99¢ each minus the 75¢ coupon) and it worked great. The $6 RR printed out just fine.

Hi Rachel,
I just wanted to make sure – the Degree/Dove deal is a mix and match? You can get say 3 of one and 3 of the other and it will work?
Thanks!

Allison,
Yes, it’s mix and match. You can get whatever combination of the products you want to! Isn’t couponing at Walgreens awesome?

Is the bagged candy at Walgreens 50% off? I’ve been to all 3 of our local Walgreens and the only candy in the clearance section is bunnies and eggs and some whitman samplers. Not what I want!! Oh well.
Oh, and I have to ask, as a newbie, how do you do multiple transactions? Do you just ask the clerk to ring it all up separately? Do you leave the store and come back the next day? I feel a little weird insisting on separate transactions in one trip… as though they’re going to feel like I’m cheating or something. :-/

Kelly,
It’s only the Easter candy that’s 50% off and my guess is that pretty much all of the Hershey’s candy would be gone by now. I went on Tuesday and was able to snag four bags of the Hershey’s Easter Candy but there weren’t very many left.
The cashiers are typically really great with me doing multiple transactions (although I’ve heard horror stories about some cashiers). I just do one right after the other, and they are used to ringing things up separately for people. Also, if someone gets in line behind me with just a couple of things I will typically let them go first or let them checkout in between my transactions. I think this helps to give couponers a better “image” – and they also really appreciate it.
I went to Walgreens on Tuesday (pics are coming today) and I have 14 receipts. Yes, I did 14 transactions! But I had to in order to roll the Register Rewards. The cashier didn’t even blink an eye. They are very used to it.

Now a dealmaker on the Scunci hair bands – I found them at my store on clearance for $1.19 and the $2 RR still printed!

Was it the same scunci pack that’s in the ad or a different one? Was it the 18 count? Thanks! What a great deal!

I love how you show the pictures and have lots of spacing between the items. It is very clean and easy to read. The pictures make the deals pop out so I don’t miss any. Thanks much!!!
