Woohoo!!!  I just got off the phone with the Sears rebate center and told them that I called yesterday and was told that gift cards would not be accepted for the Sears $50 Men’s Clothing rebate, but that I had heard from people today (thanks for the updated comments, y’all!) that the rebate center was now saying that they WOULD accept gift cards.

The representative that I talked to told me that lots of people complained and that the rebate center got a call from Sears Corporate this morning saying that the gift cards would be accepted for the rebate!!

I’m very glad that Sears decided to listen to their customer base, and I’m excited that we really do get to get an awesome deal on men’s clothing!

Thanks to everyone who called to get this decision changed! :)

Has anyone heard from Sears on the Rebate using the GC from CVS?? I did use this deal and sent out the rebate form which was given in store by the cashier... was just checking online and came across this site for Sears reabtes and they say otherwise :( https://www.mysearsrebate.com/rebatecenter.htm Note: The Father’s Day Apparel Rebate offer (H100100) rules only allow for a $50 Come Back Cash Coupon. Sears Gift Cards and Sears Prepaid Cards are not eligible reward types for this offer.

Still wouldn’t trust them. I’ve had too many problems with Sears and their rebates, warranties, appliances and other promos. There are plenty of other stores that are more trustworthy than Sears.
