Rimmel Mascara BOGO at CVS starting tomorrow!

I have mentioned this in the comments on previous posts, but I thought it was worthy of a post of its own.

There is a coupon in the April edition of All You Magazine for a FREE Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara (no other purchase required!) This is a manufacturer coupon and SHOULD be accepted anywhere. The problem is that the coupon has “Only At Walmart” written on it. This is a marketing ploy to make you think that you can only get this product at Walmart… but it is still a manufacturer coupon.

Many cashiers at other stores understand this and are accepting the coupon without a problem, but there are also some who are hesitant (or just plain unwilling) to take this coupon since it says “Only At Walmart.”

This next week (starting tomorrow March 29th) all Rimmel products will be on sale buy one get one free at CVS. This means that you will be able to get TWO free with this coupon, instead of just one for free.

To ensure that there will be no issues in redeeming this coupon, I have done the following to mine:

This is what it looks like in the magazine…

This is what it looks like now… :)

Hopefully this will help the transaction to go smoothly without any problems!

Have you guys had any problems with this coupon? Have your cashiers been willing to take it? Please share your experiences!

It took me a minute to figure out what you did. you just clipped it differently! Hee hee. tricky tricky.

I always try to tell various stores that manu coupons are still going to get reimbursed but they usually refuse to even try to scan it! GRRR> I hate it when they don't try!

I wouldn’t try using a coupon like that because it does not state the amount off or that it’s free. Because of that, it would probably raise a red flag to the cashier and they probably will not accept it.

How does this work? I have been denied my freebie coupons several times because I am told that if the special is BOGO, I can not use a coupon on the ‘buy one’. Am I getting the shaft? This has happened to me at CVS, Walgreens, and Shoprite. Any advice is appreciated!
