As those of you who have been reading STS for a while know, I started couponing in the Spring of 2008 to offset the rise of gas prices. Gas prices were totally killing our budget and the only place we could cut was our food budget.
I started looking into couponing and oh my goodness…. it saved us a TON of money and got us through that summer and the next couple of years!
But I’ve been reading and researching more and more into healthier alternatives over the past year and half and this past year I have made the transition over to trying to fix more natural, healthy, and organic meals for my family.
But there’s a problem… we still have a limited food budget and most healthier, “good for you” food is A LOT more expensive than the packaged, processed kind (for which coupons are plentiful).
So here’s my biggest cooking challenge: Cook healthy meals for my family and STILL stay on budget!
How can I overcome this challenge?
Stay tuned next month to read my Genius Tip on how I beat this challenge!
