In my opinion, the price of going to the movies is OUTRAGEOUS! $12-$14 per ticket? Really?
If you love seeing movies in the theater then the costs can add up very quickly.
We try to stay away from the theater as much as possible unless there’s a really awesome special effects movie that just HAS to be seen in the theater (instead we have the $8.99/month subscription to Netflix and it suits us perfectly!) so this deal is not really for us, but I wanted to share it with you guys because it’s an AWESOME deal for those of you who go to the movie theater (or want to go) at least once a month.
Weekly Cinema has a monthly subscription program where you get two Fandango movie ticket codes (up to $14 value) each month for just $12.99… which works out to $6.50 per ticket. And unless you go to the dollar theater, I don’t think you’re going to beat that price.
Here’s how it works:
1. Sign up for Weekly Cinema and enter your credit card info. I HIGHLY recommend using a credit card over a debit card for any and all online transactions. Also, some companies have one time use credit card numbers available.
2. The first month you will receive a FREE movie ticket code, along with your other two movie ticket codes (so you get 3 tickets the first month instead of just 2).
3. Each month, you will be billed $12.99 and get your claim codes from Weekly Cinema to enter when buying a ticket from Fandango.com. The claim codes will not accumulate each month on Weekly Cinema’s site (you have to claim them before the end of the month), so be sure to get your tickets each month (the tickets from Fandango are valid for 90 days after you buy them).
4. You can cancel anytime by emailing them or talking with them on their live chat feature on their website. (Check their FAQ page for more details)
Although we don’t go to the movies enough to justify doing this deal, I have heard from several others who have signed up with Weekly Cinema and absolutely love it. They have cut their date night movie budget in half or more by joining Weekly Cinema since the tickets are only $6.50 each instead of $12-$14!
