I wanted to let you guys know that you can still get a bonus of $50 when you open an Electric Orange Checking Account through ING Direct!

It looks like this offer is available to anyone (you have to have good credit to be accepted), and you just have to have never signed up for ING before.

Here is how to take advantage of the offer: (make sure to follow these instructions exactly to get your $50)

1. Head over to the ING Direct website.

2.  Click “Apply Now.”

4. Create your Electric Orange Checking Account.

5. ING will send you an Electric Orange Debit Mastercard. Activate your card.

6. Use the debit card to make 3 non-pin purchases within 45 days of opening your account.  These can be VERY small purchases!

7. On day 50 the $50 bonus will automatically be deposited into your account.

Who couldn’t use a free $50? :)

And in case you were wondering, ING is a HUGE online bank that’s insured by the FDIC. They have been around for a long time and I have gotten the bonuses with them before.

  1. I opened an Electric Orange Checking account during Black Friday this past year. I received my $103 bonus a few days late, but I got it! I use this account strictly for stockpiling!

  2. I opened both the checking account and the kids’ savings accounts from Black Friday and was so thrilled to get bonuses from both! Thanks for posting this; I’m a huge fan of ING!
