Wow y’all! I’m very excited about this find… $5/1 Huggies coupons are pretty hard to come by! (UPDATE: They are now out of the $5/1 Huggies coupons, but there are some other great ones there too!)

Have you heard of Recyclebank.com? I hadn’t until today, but it sounds like a really great program! Here are the details from their website:

Members of the RecycleBank program can earn Points by curbside recycling and recycling e-waste. In the curbside program, your RecycleBank cart will be weighed each week upon pick-up. The weight will then be translated to RecycleBank Points. The more you recycle, the more your household can earn. In a few select communities, households earn rewards based on their equal share of the total amount that their entire community recycles.

The actual Recycle Bank curbside pickup recycling program is only available in certain cities in certain states {Click on “Curbside Recycling to see the cites} (Colorado, Connecticut, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennesse and Virginia) but ANYONE can sign up! And you will get 100 points added to your RecycleBank account just for signing up!

Now, what can you do with those points? You can get coupons! And some pretty awesome coupons too (like Huggies, Free Happy Baby products, Free Seventh Generation Products and MORE!)

UPDATE: The Huggies coupons are now sold out, but there are LOTS of other great coupons that you can get as well. Hopefully the $5/1 Huggies coupons will be restocked soon!

Here’s what to do to get your 100 points and FREE COUPONS:

1) Go to the RecycleBank website HERE and click on “SIGN IN or Get Started” at the top of the page.

2) Click on the “Register” option and fill out all of your information.

3) After you sign up, go back to the homepage and sign in.

4) Click on “Get Rewards” and scroll down until you see the “Grocery and Food” category in the left column to see all of the coupons available.

5) You should have 100 points to spend on whatever coupons you would like! I got two of the Huggies $5/1 coupons for 50 points each and their website says that I should be receiving them in the mail in 5-7 days.

That’s it! Then you can earn more rewards if you would like to get more coupons!

You can also earn rewards by giving away your stuff through Kashless (similar to Freecycle) and by recycling your Electronics through Gazelle or Flipswap.  Alyssa at Kingdom First Mom wrote a great explanation of Gazelle HERE.  You will need to click on the Kashless or Electronics Recycling links from the RecycleBank website (under “Earn Points“) to get the points credited to your account for Kashless or Gazelle.

The link you have above about what cities doesn’t list cities/states…..where is the info on their website?

(I realize from your post that you don’t need to live in a city that participates, but I live in one of the states listed and am interested in seeing the city list—–)

@K, I think it’s the right link now. Just click the link and scroll down to the bottom to see the cities.

Let me know if it doesn’t work!

Nope! Still don’t see it…..

I got 10 $1 off Coca-Cola products.

I would *love* this program in my city! We recycle a ton each week :)

I do find it odd, however, that they mail the coupons/rewards….not quite as green as sending them via email! Kinda weird when you consider the premise of the site :)

Rachel @ Surviving The Stores Reply:

@K, LOL! I didn’t think about that, but you’re right!

It looks like the page that lists the cites doesn’t have a direct link (weird, huh?) so just go to the page that the link is to and click on “Curbside Recycling” and scroll all the way down to view the cities and states.

Got it! Thanks…..this program was actually in a neighboring community about a year ago….they aren’t listed anymore, so they must have discontinued the program…boo!

I enter my name and address and then a window comes up to validate my address but it will not let me click on use this address to continue. I guess I will have to call them. Has anyone else had this problem?
