Free Plants & Trees is a company that finds healthy unsold trees and plants that will be thrown away and resells them for only a shipping and handling cost of $7.95.
Here’s how it works:
- Go to the Free Plants & Trees site HERE.
- Reserve your plants on a first come first reserved basis. Each 2 plants, trees, shrubs, or bulbs is packaged as a unit and is bare root and dormant.
- Pay $7.95 for each 2 plants (unit) you order. So if you wanted 2 trees and 2 plants you’d pay $15.90.

We did this last year, thinking it was a great deal. Yeah, not so much!! After shelling out about $20 for some “trees” we got four little twigs mailed to us via USPS. Despite doing our best to help our little twigs to grow, they didn’t make it. Meanwhile, my husband was able to buy a peach tree and an apricot tree that were both on clearance at our local garden store…spending about the same amount but getting full 6ft. tall young trees that are now healthy and full of fresh blooms in our backyard.
