CVS Scenarios for 2/22 – 2-28

February 22, 2009 · 0 comments

In lieu of going to CVS today (I have tons of makeup, razors and energy shots), I thought I would post a couple of scenarios of possible CVS transactions. (Note: in these scenarios I am starting out with $0 in ECBs, so if you already have some ECBs your out of pocket expense will be lower).

If you are new to CVSing, make sure to read CVS 101 before continuing.

For the coupon matchups for these items, read this post.

Scenario 1:

Transaction 1:

Gillette Fusion Gamer Razor – $7.99
- $4/1 coupon
—————–
Pay $3.99 out of pocket

Get back $4 ECBs!

Transaction 2:

Buy 2 Nyquil or Dayquil products – $4.99 each
- two $1.50/1 coupons
- $4 in ECBs you earned from Transaction 1
——————–
Pay $2.98 out of pocket

Get back $5 ECBs!

Transaction 3:

Buy 6-hour Extreme Energy Shot – $4.99
- $5 ECBs you earned from Transaction 2 (they will have to adjust the $5 down to $4.99)
——————–
Pay $0.00 out of pocket!

Get back $4.99 ECBs!

TOTAL out of pocket for all the above: $6.97

And you have $4.99 in ECBs to start out with next week!

Scenario #2:

Transaction 1:

4 Revlon Nail polishes – $4.99 each
1 Revlon Beauty tool – $1.99
1 Gillette Fusion Gamer Razor – $7.99
- $5/$25 CVS coupon (many times one will print out when you scan your CVS card in the price scanner)
- 4 $2/1 Revlon coupons
- $1/1 Revlon Beauty Tool coupon
- $4/1 Gillette Fusion coupon
———————-
Pay $11.94 out of pocket

Get back $14 in ECBs to use next week or in another transaction!

Also, make sure to check out this week’s great FOOD DEALS at CVS, and the MONEY-MAKERS to be had this week!
