Drug Stores

Using coupons and matching them up with the sales at drug stores (like CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid) has been one of the BIGGEST money savers for us. I no longer pay for makeup, toothpaste, razors, feminine products, most over the counter medicine… and many times I will be able to even get diapers for free!

I highly, highly recommend learning how to “play the drug store game”, even if you have no interest in coupon shopping at the grocery stores. My recommendation would be to pick one store, learn how to “play the game” well, and then move on to another store.

I shopped Walgreens today for the first time (I’ve been going to Rite Aid and love the deals I get there). The people at Walgreens were very nice, but not quite as helpful, and I decided I’m giving up for now! It seems like it gets quite complicated w/ store coupons/manuf coupons/RR if you want to save a lot there, and although I understand the scenarios, they didn’t and wouldn’t do it for me (even though the register was cooperating!)! It was very frustrating and I ended up having them void out 3 items. Then they put the sign for RR on the wrong floss so I chose the wrong one, but b/c it was their error, they did give me cash when the RR’s didn’t print. All in all, though, it was frustrating and seemed like a waste of time (and money!) since I spent more than I planned (somehow?). It also seemed that all the other customers around me were coming back after checking over their receipts. I prefer rebates! :) I’ll try another Walgreens in town tho.

Thanks for your explanations though! Very helpful!

Is there a limit on the CVS clip free coupons? I would like to get two of the Neosporin Lip Treatments but I wasnt sure if I could with the CVS coupon.
Thanks!
