How To Change The Zip Code On The New Coupons.com Site!

Whether you’re a fan of the new format of Coupons.com or not (I’m not a fan), it looks like it’s here to stay and we might as well get used to it.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, they have changed the format of how they post the coupons and it’s not quite as easy to change the zip code. In fact, many of you guys have asked how to do it now that the little zip code box is gone from the top left of the screen.

It’s still pretty easy to change, although it does take a couple more steps than it did before…

1. Go to the Coupons.com website.

2. Click on the “Local Coupons” tab.

3. Change the zip code to whichever one you want to use.

4. Click on the “Coupons” tab to see the coupons for the zip code you entered!

Like I said, a few more steps to do it, but still easy enough!

How Can You Tell The Difference Between A Manufacturer’s Coupon & A Store Coupon?

Q: How can I tell the difference between a Manufacturer’s coupon and a Store coupon?

A: This is a great question because it can be a little tricky sometimes! But once you know a few key points, it will be easy to tell the difference between the two. Here is a manufacturer’s coupon:

It is clearly marked “Manufacturer’s Coupon” at the top
There are redemption instructions for the retailer in the fine print (this is how they get reimbursed from the company who releases the coupon)

Now take a look at a Store Coupon:

It is clearly marked a “Target Web Coupon” at the top. Other stores may just state, “Store Coupon”. There is no mention of the manufacturer.
There are no redemption instructions for the retailer (the store does not get reimbursed for store coupons)

Those examples are pretty straight forward…but what about this one?

This coupon is marked “Manufacturer’s Coupon”, but it has “available at” or “redeemable at” and a specific store’s logo.

These are still manufacturer’s coupons and can be used at any store that accepts manufacturer’s coupons! Walmart just pays extra to have their branding on the coupon.
