Possible CVS Scenario – Rolling ECBs To Buy What You Need!

**It’s always great to see the great scenarios that you guys come up with for the store deals! The following scenarios are from Sarah, who is a regular contributor here at Surviving The Stores and blogs at Renaissance Mama! Do you have a great shopping trip you’d like to share? I finished up my Christmas shopping today with a stop at CVS and wanted to share my trip with you!

Here’s what I did:

Transaction #1:
Bought the Conair Beard Trimmer @ $9.99
Paid $10.81 out of pocket after tax
Got back $5 in ECBs (great price for this product!)

Transaction #2:
Bought 3 bags of Hershey’s candy @ $2.50 each, Get $2 in ECBs
Used B2G1 Hershey’s coupon from the 12/11 SS
Used $5 in ECBs from Transaction #1
Paid $0 out of pocket
Got back $2 in ECBs

Transaction #3:
Bought Witch Hazel @ $5.79 (for my homemade hand santizer!)
Use $2 in ECBs from Transaction #2
Paid $3.79 out of pocket

I paid $14.60 total out of pocket for $24.10 worth of merchandise! I got over 50% off on a great gift I needed to buy, free chocolate, and I got $2 off another item I needed to buy anyway!

I love these scenarios because it shows that you really can save a ton off things you are going to buy ANYWAY. You don’t have to get a bunch of stuff you don’t need or won’t use to save, and you can EASILY save around 50% very consistently. :)
