The official policy from them is a little confusing so I wanted to break it down for you guys.
There are actually TWO different price-matching policies for Walmart this year.
(1) Their Christmas Price Matching Policy
(2) Their Everyday Price Matching Policy
:: Christmas Price Matching Policy ::
If you buy a product IN-STORE
If you buy a qualifying item at a Walmart store between November 1 and December 24 and find a lower advertised price on an identical product then bring in your receipt and the competitor’s current printed ad and get a Walmart Gift Card for the difference!
If you buy a product ONLINE
If you buy a qualifying item on Walmart.com between November 1 and December 24 and find a lower advertised price on an identical product then send an email to email@example.com and include:
(1) The order confirmation number for the item purchased from Walmart.com
(2) The item name for the requested match, the competitor item price, the name of the retailer, the store ZIP code, the ad date range, and the page number featuring the item within the ad.
Then you’ll get a Walmart eGift Card for the difference!
Their CHRISTMAS ad matching policy is NOT valid on Thanksgiving or on Black Friday. (For example, you can’t buy an item now and then get the difference in price back on a gift card on Thanksgiving or Black Friday.)
:: Everyday Price Matching Policy ::
The everyday Walmart price-matching policy is still in effect for Thanksgiving and Black Friday!!
The only thing that you have to remember is that you also have to match the TIME of the ad. So if a certain store only has a particular item on sale from 6:00 am – 8:00 am on Friday, then that’s the time that you can match that at Walmart.
In addition to their price-matching policy, they also released some other exciting news today!
Starting this Friday (November 22nd) they will be having a pre-Black Friday savings event in stores and online, lowering the prices on popular toys and electronics, to match select Black Friday offers from Target, Toys R’ Us and Best Buy one week early.
Some examples of items that will be on sale starting this upcoming Friday are:
LeapPad 2 – $39.99 (reg. $79)
