Tablets can be tricky items to purchase because you’ll see an incredible price (like $49.99 for a 7″ tablet) and then look at the reviews and everyone will be saying how terrible it is. So my #1 piece of advice when looking at tablet deals is to head over to Amazon and type in the name of the tablet and read through the reviews there. If the tablet is not on Amazon, then just type in “Name of the Tablet Reviews” into Google, Bing, or Yahoo… but you will DEFINITELY want to read reviews for any tablets that you aren’t familiar with! It’s certainly not worth it to get a “great deal” on a tablet and then have it start crashing every time you try to do something on it.
Also, if you’re okay with buying refurbished (I personally have had great success with buying refurbished!) then check out the tablet (and all electronics) deals over on CowBoom. They are run by Best Buy and get a lot of the refurbished items from Best Buy that can’t be put back on the shelf. Their prices are sometimes unbeatable and they have a great return policy too!
One last thing, if you’re looking for an Apple product, the chances of seeing a great deal for a brand new Apple product are pretty slim – but there ARE some great gift card rebate deals which I’ll outline below. I personally am pretty loyal to Apple and have been MUCH more pleased with my Apple products than with the Android products I’ve tried out.
