I am so excited to be able to share with you guys about some fabulous bloggers that I was able to meet on Sunday night, as well as the fabulous restaurant that we ate at.
The Melting Pot in Southlake, Texas (right between Dallas and Fort Worth) sponsored a D/FW blogger meet-up for us. I had never been to The Melting Pot before, so I had no idea what to expect! But let me tell you–I was BLOWN away! I came home from the meet-up and told my husband, “we HAVE to go back for our anniversary.”
The 10 of us there had our own private room with three burners in the middle of the table. Our amazing waitress, Sara, started us off with three selections of cheese fondue, served with apples, bread, chips, and veggies. Next we had the salad course, followed by a main course of chicken, shrimp, and steak that we got to cook ourselves in three different types of fondue pots. And then came my absolute favorite part! They brought out this plate full of fruit, cheesecake, brownies, Rice Krispy treats, graham cracker covered marshmallows, and more for us to dip in CHOCOLATE fondue. My favorite was the tiramisu – and, um, I think I might have eaten a little too much!
Throughout this four course, four-HOUR dinner, I got to have some great conversations with some amazing bloggers. Here we all are with our waitress Sara who made the whole experience even more amazing!

I don’t highly recommend many restaurants, but The Melting Pot is for sure one of the ones on my “recommend list” now! In fact, it was honestly the best restaurant experience I have ever had.
Yes, The Melting Pot is on the pricey side, so you would probably want to save going for a special occasion. There are also some great coupons to go along with your Melting Pot experience. The D/FW (and probably many others) Entertainment Book has a coupon in it for a B1G1 Free dinner (you can get your 2009 Entertainment Book for FREE right now if you preorder your 2010 one) or 20% off of your Fondue for 2, and you can also get a free chocolate fondue for 2 by signing up for the Club Fondue newsletter!
With all of the money we are saving, we can splurge a little, right?

Oh so sorry I missed out! Looks like you had a lot of fun. The Melting Pot is one of my favorite restaurants…I only live 15 minutes from it so my hubby and I sneak down on a regular basis!

Glad you enjoyed yourself.
If you plan on going for your anniversary you may want to take out a second mortgage. My son took a date there once, he said they didn't get much, and it was well over $100! Sticker shock for a (then) 20 year old.

LOL — we have the Entertainment Book so it will be half price with the B1G1 coupon!

Happy Hour at the Melting Pot is PERFECT for me!! I LOVE their Cheese and Chocolate courses and don't care much for the entrees, and during HH those courses (C&C, and drinks) are HALF PRICE!!! YUUMMMY!! The best part of the meal to me is "on sale" five days a week….and no coupon is needed!!

I have heard many great reviews for The Melting POt, too bad I don't have a place like this near me. Bummer! It looks like you had a wonderful time though!

I got an email just today from them that on July 4 (3-9pm), the Big Night Out will be 1/2 price! It says it is for the one in my area, but call for reservations with the password "Patriotic" and see if it works where you live as well!
